Children & Teens:  Starting on June 2nd, visit the Children's Room to register and receive a reading log.

Adults:  Starting on June 2nd, sign up in person at the Reference Desk to receive a packet.  Click here for the Nonfiction and Fiction reading lists relating to the theme.

Program Description

Event Details

Summer of Strings is a mini music camp for kids entering Grades 3 -5 in the fall of 2025.

Intro to Instruments is the main focus of the program which gives children an opportunity to explore various stringed instruments to pique their interest and get them engaged.

Beginner Strings, children who have already started playing violin or viola are also welcome to participate

Instruments will be provided for student use during sessions.

Jessi Kaufman, a dedicated and talented musician who graduated from Tuckahoe High School in 2023. Currently in her second year of undergraduate studies at the esteemed New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Jessi is pursuing a major in classical viola performance. She possesses a deep passion for music and is eager to share her abilities and enthusiasm within her home community .
