 EARTHWORM COMPOST

In this introduction to vermiculture, students search for earthworms, learn what they eat, learn what they can provide us, and give them a habitat.

Vermiculture is the cultivation or farming of worms, whereas vermicomposting uses the worms to convert organic waste into nutrient-rich compost for plants. Both terms often overlap in their use and are a great way to reduce waste, improve soil health, and create a sustainable gardening practice.
