Pianist Moriah Trenk will perform her favorite musical pieces from ballets such as Romeo and Juliet, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and the Nutcracker. She will also share comments and stories about the histories of these ballets.
Presented by: Praised for her "fluid and graceful style," Moriah Trenk has performed as a soloist and with ensembles at venues and concert series including Bargemusic, Candlelight Concerts by Fever, Pregones Theater, Mallery Concert Series at Rutgers University, Jordan Hall, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, Tubac Center of the Arts, Loewe Theater, and Merkin Concert Hall among other venues. As a versatile artist, Moriah enjoys a busy schedule of performances and collaborations with dancers, instrumentalists, and vocalists. She has worked as Company Pianist at Philadelphia Ballet, and has also collaborated with BalletX, American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, Boston Ballet, and New Jersey Ballet. In the upcoming season, Moriah will be featured as a performer on WFMT, Chicago’s classical music radio station. She has been selected to record a debut album on Cedille Records, in collaboration with oboist Oliver Talukder. Moriah received a Master's Degree in Collaborative Piano from New England Conservatory and a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance from New York University. She has studied with Cameron Stowe, Jonathan, Feldman, Seymour Bernstein, Grant Wenaus, Paul Ostrovsky, and Sara Davis Buechner.
