In 1925, Alfred Hitchcock directed his first film, The Pleasure Garden. 101 years later, we'll revisit the master's career, focusing on his technical prowess and political conscience. Our conversation on April 27th will focus on Vertigo (1958) and Mel Brooks' spoof of Hitchcock's classics, High Anxiety (1977).

Jeff Hughes is a PhD student in American Studies at Rutgers University-Newark, after earning multiple degrees from the Martin Scorsese Department of Cinema Studies at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He is a frequent film lecturer at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, NY.
