Join local Author, Seamus Mullarkey as he talks about his latest book.  Strange and Surprising Ireland takes you on a journey through the heart of Irish culture, unravelling quirky traditions, little-known myths, and fascinating stories that have shaped the unique spirit of Ireland. From fairies and mythical beasts to curious customs and age-old legends, the book explores the hidden gems of Irish history that often go unnoticed.

The author will be selling signed copies of the book and all proceeds will go to The Friends of The Bronxville Library. Learn about Ireland and support a good cause!

Presented by:  Seamus Mullarkey has lived in New York for 30 years, but is originally from the West of Ireland. He is obsessed with overlooked stories, forgotten aspects of world events, and quirky trivia. In the course of a decades-long career in book publishing, Seamus has written on many topics from cats to college admissions, but is especially interested in Irish culture and history.
